Application scenario
Ozone catalysts are widely used in industrial waste gas treatment. In chemical, electronics, printing and other industries, waste gas often contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and other pollutants. Ozone catalysts can be integrated into waste gas treatment equipment, such as catalytic oxidation towers. For example, in chemical enterprises, the waste gas containing pollutants is passed into the reaction tower equipped with ozone catalyst, and through the synergistic effect of ozone and catalyst, the efficient removal of pollutants is achieved, so that the emission gas is up to the standard.
Action mechanism
Ozone catalysts function mainly through adsorption and catalytic activation of ozone molecules. It has high specific surface area and rich pore structure, which can effectively adsorb pollutant molecules in waste gas. At the same time, the surface active site of the catalyst can reduce the activation energy of ozonolysis, so that the rapid decomposition of ozone can produce strong oxidizing hydroxyl radical (· OH). These free radicals oxidize with pollutants adsorbed on the surface of the catalyst, converting them into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide and water, so as to achieve waste gas purification.
Matters needing attention
Waste gas pretreatment is very important, it is necessary to remove impurities such as particles and sulfur in the waste gas to prevent it from blocking the pores of the catalyst or making the catalyst poisoned and deactivated. It is necessary to strictly control the reaction temperature and ozone dosage, too high temperature or excessive ozone, not only waste resources, but also may lead to side reactions, affecting the treatment effect. In addition, the catalyst needs to be tested and regenerated regularly to restore its activity in time to ensure long-term stable operation.
